Inclusion Week with Wulfrun Job Centre Plus

“Each one of us holds the potential to make a profound and positive impact.”

Last month, from the 23rd to 29th September was Inclusion Week. With the theme of ‘Impact Matters’, the week held a powerful message that centred around understanding, identifying and measuring impact on marginalised groups and taking actions that make for genuine, sustainable change that matters.

Wolverhampton IPS & Wulfrun JCP Event

A collaborative even between our team and those at Wulfrun JCP saw clients sharing their success stories of working with IPS and other support services, as well as some invaluable learning about the Disability Confident scheme and commitments to be more inclusive to employees.

Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with Work Coaches sharing:

"Donna's story was truly eye-opening and invaluable for us as service providers. Her personal story not only highlighted the effectiveness of support systems but also revealed areas where improvements are needed. Her experience gave us a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those we help, reinforcing the importance of empathy and continuous improvement in our approach"

"Providers often come in and tell us very similar things, all sounding amazing but very polished. Hearing a good news story from a user of a provision makes it easier to connect the provision to our claimants and makes it feel less like we’re being sold an unrealistic vision. It was nice to hear Donna speak so passionately about her time at IPS and the support she still receives from them"
