Have you received Mental Health First Aid (MHFA®) training or heard of MHFA® training and thought to yourself ‘I’d quite like to do something like that..’, ‘I’d like to work with a supportive team’ or ‘I wonder if my experience and skills would meet the job requirements?’

By becoming an MHFA England Instructor Member you can help to raise awareness, improve knowledge and increase confidence of people talking about mental health.  Make an impact by providing training in the community for Black Country organisations and making the change we want to see in our community.  With an established team around you expect to receive all you need to support your development in this new exciting role.

Experience of working or volunteering in the community and have developed some skills in:

• Communication – meeting new people, confident in talking about sensitive/triggering topics
• Training – comfortable standing up and talking in group situations, knowledge of using a variety of teaching methods
• Team working – organisation skills with co-workers, enthusiastic and self-motivated

The Black Country Recovery College are looking to recruit a number of Facilitators that will support the co-design and co-delivery of the Recovery College classes across the College network, managing all elements of course coproduction and planning and the continued development of the Recovery College curriculum.

Using personal recovery and “lived experiences” of mental health challenges, the Learning Support Assistant role will provide empathy, peer support, practical assistance and encouragement to Recovery College students and prospective students.
