WorkWell is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Kic Radio, a leading youth-led radio station based in the Black Country. This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening the support and opportunities available to young people across the region.

Through this partnership, WorkWell and Kic Radio will work together to raise awareness of health conditions and disabilities support for young people seeking work or currently in a job, wider health and wellbeing services, amplify young voices, and provide new avenues for engagement, skills development, and empowerment.

Kic Radio’s dynamic platform and deep-rooted connection with young people complements WorkWell’s aim in providing early intervention to people from the age of 16 who are experiencing barriers to gain or retain employment due to health conditions or disabilities.

Dale Stewart, WorkWell Learning and Change Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Kic Radio. Their passion for youth development and commitment to creative expression aligns perfectly with our goal of making work and health support more accessible and youth friendly.

“This is a powerful opportunity to co-create initiatives that truly reflect the needs and aspirations of young people in the Black Country.”

Rob Smith, Founding Director of Kic Radio, said: “At Kic Radio, we believe in the power of youth voice and creativity to drive positive change. Partnering with WorkWell allows us to take that mission even further by connecting young people with vital support and opportunities. Together, we will create spaces on air, online, and in the community where young people can feel heard, supported, and inspired.”

The two services aim to work together on joint campaigns for young people, storytelling initiatives, and workshops design to empower young voices and connect them to the help and resources they need.

WorkWell is a free service that offers practical, personalised employment and health-related support to individuals facing challenges in the workplace. In less than a year, WorkWell has already helped over 1400 people across the Black Country find pathways back into meaningful employment, while improving their mental and physical wellbeing.
